Suicide Prevention Training for Aging Adults and Their Caregivers

Provide Support to Aging Adults

SPTI is proud to offer suicide prevention training for aging adults and their caregivers.

The LivingWorks ASIST™ Workshop helps to reduce surface and underlying risk factors which may include:

  • Ability to identify those at risk of suicide provides an opportunity to reduce risk factors
  • Aging adults contemplating suicide more than likely do not want to die, but are looking for a way to end pain and suffering
  • Aging adults contemplating suicide are often more isolated, more likely to have a plan, and more determined than younger adults
